Parent Power School Login---  https://ps.maryvillecityschools.k12.tn.us/public/

• First Time: Creating an Account:  
  • The first time, you must create an account using the school’s assigned Access ID and Password from a letter sent home at the beginning of school.  If you still need this Access ID and Password, please contact the CGIS Helpdesk.

• Setting Up Automatic Reminders:  Emailed Notification of Grades
  • Once parent is logged in, choose Email Notification on the left.
  • Check what information you would like to receive, how often, and to what email address.
  • Click Submit and Sign Out.
• PowerSchool Mobile App
  • Install App.
  • Enter District Code: QLNK.
  • Login using the Student or Parent username and password.

Optional Resources

• Subscribe to Assignment Calendar
  You can receive your child’s assignments straight to your computer or cell phone by subscribing to the iCal feed from Canvas.  (These are directions for an iPhone.  Other cell phones should work similarly.)
  • Login to Canvas using Safari. (It’s under Quick Links on the CGIS website.)
  • Choose Assignment Calendar.
  • Choose Dashboard.
  • On the right, choose View Calendar.
  • Scroll down and choose “Calendar Feed.”
  • Copy the URL.
  • Go to Settings.
  • Choose “Calendar” and then “Accounts.”
  • Open “Add Account” and” Other.”
  • Choose “Add a Subscribed Calendar.”
  • Paste the URL.
  • Chose Next and Save.
• Canvas by Instructure Mobile App
  • Install App.
  • Find your school or district: maryville-schools
  • Choose Go. 
  • Login using your login
  • Choose Remember Authorization and Authorize.

• Use Student Username and Password (ask student) through ClassLink.

  • In the top Right corner, click on the orange "Get Email Updates."
  • Enter a name and email address.
  • Choose which assignments you would like to receive emails updates for your child.
  • Click Submit. 

OneNote (for students to complete assignments and receive content)

• Can be accessed on your student’s device.
• Ask your student to show you!
